Some things never cease
Some things never change
Some things just grow more beautiful with time
They don't wither nor fade nor die
They just continue to bloom and blossom
Never bowing down to whatever comes its way
Neither winter nor fall or the cruelty of man to life
It remains as a delicate beauty
Fierce, strong, and ardent

Every time I see you
I lose a bit of myself
I have to catch my breath
I struggle between heartbeats
and I lose grip on all my sensibilities

You slay me
drive me crazy
you never let me rest
l see you in the morning sun, the afternoon sky, and the evening rain

You never let me breathe
nor wince
nor sigh
without filling me with a tremendous longing for your smile
keeping me in a helpless distance from your touch

Just to see you smile
to know that you're comfortable
to make sure you won't have a reason to put your head down
That would be all I need to satisfy the rest of my days
That is the only calm I seek before I give in to the night
