Unsaid

There are a hundred things that I should have told you and a hundred more that I will. I don’t know if you remember what I told you that night. If you do remember, I don’t think you understood what it meant. You remind me of the horizon. You can see where it ends, but you can never really get to it. No matter how close you try to get, it still stays at a certain distance.

I’m sorry for all the mean things I say to you. I hope you don’t misinterpret the reasons for my actions. When I tease you, I don’t mean to put you down. I tease you because I am disturbed by you. I don’t think I can make you understand exactly what it is in you, at least not now, but trust me that it’s nothing bad.

The truth is, you amaze me. It may not always show, but every time I see you it’s as if my heart stops beating for a few seconds. You always take my breath away. No matter how harassed you may seem, you always look like a ray of sunlight to me. Your mere presence can brighten up my day. Even without uttering a single word, you can make me smile.
